The Regional Assembly represents the views of councils and communities in the South East. The Assembly comprises 111 members - 73 councillors from the region's local authorities plus representatives from the business, voluntary and environmental sectors. The Assembly has a strategic role, setting priorities for the region which includes regional planning and housing.
